Leader Parn Practices Ahead of Poland

Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy leader Sander Pärn is hoping to grace the podium for the second time when the championship hurtles into Poland next week.

Pärn, from nearby Estonia, is hoping his locality to the rally will help him with the roads in his home country being a similar surface to those of Poland. He said: "The roads will hopefully suit me as they're similar in Estonia. I am going to try my best and make no mistakes."

Between the Vodafone Rally de Portugal and the Lotos Rally Poland, Pärn and co-driver James Morgan have tackled two Estonian Rally Championship rounds in a similar Ford Fiesta R2, which is improving their position when they arrive at the ceremonial start in Mikolajki next Thursday.

The 22-year-old added: "James and I took the opportunity on these rallies to improve our co-operation and communication before Rally Poland. Things are working well for us now but with everything there are always small things to improve."

With Poland being back on the World Rally Championship calendar after a five year absence, it will be a new experience for the Drive DMACK crews. As they learned in Portugal, pacenotes will be of utmost importance in order to eliminate any mistakes. Pärn and Morgan are hoping to be the perfect pairing.

"It's always good to have a new rally, it will mean everyone will be on the same level, posting similar stage times. It will be good to see how we all compare," said Pärn. "It's difficult to predict what will happen so we best make some really good pacenotes during recce."
